Guerrette earned four NCAA Division III All-America honors in the javelin throw, consistently finishing among the nation's best. His national finishes showcased both his talent and his consistency: fifth place in 1997, runner-up in 1998, national champion in 1999, and third place in 2000. His crowning achievement came at the 1999 NCAA Division III Championships, where he captured the individual national title with a throw of 215 feet, 8 inches (65.73 meters), helping lead Springfield College to a 28th-place team finish at the national meet.

That same year, Guerrette delivered the most remarkable throw of his career—and one that would cement his place in Springfield College history. With a mark of 222 feet, 4 inches (67.76 meters) in 1999, he set the Springfield College school record in the javelin, a record that still stands today and remains one of the most significant marks in the program's history.

Dominant not only on the national stage but also throughout the region, Guerrette captured the New England Division III Championship in the javelin four times, asserting himself as the best in the region throughout his collegiate career. Even more remarkably, he won every regular season and conference championship meet in which he competed while representing Springfield College, an extraordinary testament to his competitive excellence and consistency.

Beyond his athletic accomplishments, Guerrette embodied the values of Springfield College both on and off the field. He earned his bachelor's degree in elementary education and went on to build a career dedicated to helping others, working in social work before later transitioning into the real estate field in Maine.

Through his national championship, record-setting performances, and unmatched consistency in competition, Nick Guerrette's career stands among the finest in Springfield College track and field history. His achievements continue to inspire future generations of Pride student-athletes and secure his place as one of the program's all-time greats.
