Birmingham, Ala. – March 13, 2026 – The Springfield College men's track and field team wrapped up its indoor season today at the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championships at the Birmingham Crossplex.
Mike Anderson (Cromwell, Conn.) opened the day with a 13th place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.14-seconds, his second fastest mark of the indoor season. Anderson qualified with a time of 8.02-seconds, which ranked seventh nationally and broke the Springfield indoor program record. Anderson finished fifth in his heat ahead of NEWMAC rival Enoch Ellis of MIT (8.24) as those two will meet during the outdoor season in just a few weeks.
Colin Hansen (Ipswich, Mass.) then finished 14th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.52-seconds. He took second in his heat only behind Jack Kittle of Wittenberg. Two others from the NEWMAC raced in the 400-meter dash prelims as Ian Naff from Coast Guard was just ahead of Hansen in 48.33, while Josy Brown Wright of Wheaton was just behind Hansen in 48.61.
Hansen finished his day alongside
Parker Ruger (Rhinebeck, N.Y.),
Seth Twarog (Hubbardston, Mass.)and
Luca Kabel (Merrimack, N.H.) as the quartet finished ninth in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:16.41 just 0.30-seconds outside of grabbing All-America accolades.
That wraps up the indoor season for the Pride as the outdoor campaign will begin in two weeks at UMass Dartmouth's Corsair Classic.
