Westfield, Mass. – October 11, 2025 – Senior
Kristina Kyle (Watertown, Conn.) guided the Springfield College women's cross country team to an impressive third place finish at the James Earley Invitational on Saturday morning at Stanley Park.
Kyle and the Pride finished third in the team scoring with 97 points only behind Williams College, which came into the meet ranked second nationally, and host Westfield State.
Kyle ran a career-best cross country time of 18:27.33 on the 6-kilometer course and crossed the line just five seconds behind meet winner Estella Laird of Williams.
Sara St. Germain (Somers, Conn.) posted a 19th place finish with a time of 19:53.09 and was followed by
Kayleigh Jensen (Salem, Conn.) in 26th with a time of 20:08.84,
Hannah McCarthy (Beverly, Mass.) in 28th with a time of 20:16.69 and
Meghan Sullivan (Easthampton, Mass.) in 30th with a time of 20:19.27 to round out Springfield's top five.
Leah Castle (Ashford, Conn.) took 31st in 20:22.15,
Elisa Narain (Holden, Mass.) came in 38th in 20:34.19,
Lauren Roche (Corning, N.Y.) posted a 61st place finish in 21:19.55,
Meghan Conway (Nashua, N.H.) took 80th in 22:11.95,
Taylor Desmarais (Berlin, Conn.) took 91st in 22:49.04 and
Brooke Ferrare (Waterbury, Conn.) crossed the line in 127th in 24:43.02.
Springfield will return to action next Saturday at the Connecticut College Invitational held at Harkness Park in New London.
