Attleboro, Mass. - November 11, 2025 - Springfield College senior
Kristina Kyle (Watertown, Conn.) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Year after her performance at the NEWMAC Championships.
Kyle is just the second NEWMAC Rookie of the Year in program history joining Marissa Clapp who earned the honor in 2000 and then went on to win three-consecutive NEWMAC Runner of the Year awards. Kyle was also the first NEWMAC All-Conference runner for Springfield since Gabriella Gaudreault finished eighth at the conference championships in 2014.Â
In her first season with the program, Kyle was the top finisher for the Pride in every meet she competed in and took 14th place in 22:53.08 at the NEWMAC meet to help the Pride finish 5th overall and earn the title Rookie of the Year.
The Pride will travel to St. Lawrence, N.Y. on Saturday, November 15 to compete in the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships.Â
