Springfield, Mass. - December 16, 2025 - Springfield College wrestling first-year Isaac Quiles (East Hartford, Conn.) was named the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Rookie of the Week for the first honor of his career. 

After a dominant performance at the Messiah Petrofes Invitational at 141, Quiles, now 15-4 on the season, rolled through day one with three straight pins before closing out the tournament with decision victories over Malcom Chrispin of Bridgewater State in the semifinals and Ryan Kozdra (Mahwah, N.J.) in the finals to claim the championship.

Springfield will return to action in January with a trip to the Budd Whitehill National Duals at Lycoming College beginning on January 9.
