Four From Men's Soccer Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team

Springfield, Mass. – December 3, 2025 – Four student-athletes from the Springfield College men's soccer program were recently named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for their efforts on the field and in the classroom.

This year's Springfield College men's soccer recipients included Connor Policarpio (Bristol, Conn.)Aidan Hallinan (New Windsor, N.Y.)Cyrus Ng (Houston, Texas) and Morgan Thibodeau (Carrabassett Valley, Maine). Policarpio and Hallinan are repeat selections, while Ng and Thibodeau earned the honor for the first time in their careers.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

In order to be eligible, a student-athlete must have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher, compete in 90-percent of the team's games played OR start in at least 66-percent of the team's games over the course of the season.

Policarpio, a physical therapy major with a 3.77 grade point average, was a key piece of the Springfield offense as he tallied six goals and three assists for 15 points in 18 contests this fall. The junior forward also registered the game winning goal for the Pride on October 29 against Coast Guard, which ultimately secured Springfield's spot in the 2025 NEWMAC Championship Tournament.

Thibodeau, a sport management major with a 3.90 grade point average, and Hallinan, a finance major with a 3.79 grade point average, played key roles in the midfield for Springfield this fall, while Ng, a physical therapy major with a 3.86 grade point average, was a mainstay for the Springfield defensive unit in 2025.

Offensively, Hallinan recorded one goal and two assists for four points as his goal came in a 3-2 win over Saint Joseph (Conn.), while his assists came in a 2-1 win over Wentworth and a 3-2 setback at WPI. Hallinan started and played in 17 of 18 contests for Springfield this fall. Thibodeau notched his assist in a 5-3 win over NEWMAC rival Emerson back on September 20 and appeared in 17 matches during his sophomore campaign, while Ng also appeared in 17 matches as a defender averaging nearly 56 minutes a game. As a team, Springfield surrendered 2.11 goals per game.

These three led Springfield to its most wins since 2021 and to a trio of NEWMAC wins this fall. The Pride appeared in the conference championship tournament for the third straight season under the direction of head coach Tommy Crabilll.
