Springfield, Mass. – March 12, 2025 - Three student-athletes from the Springfield College men's and women's track and field programs have earned the opportunity to compete against the nation's best as they have qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, which will be held on March 14-15 at Nazareth University.
Sophomore
Katherine DeFosse (Worcester, Mass.) qualified in the 60-meter hurdles and is seeded seventh with a time of 8.70. Her time is a school record which she set at last weekend's AARTFC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Ithaca College. This will be her first appearance on the national stage.
Senior
Samantha Paul (Albany, N.Y.) qualified in the triple jump and is seeded 17th with a mark of 11.86-meters. Paul set that mark last weekend when she claimed first place at the AARTFC Indoor Track and Field Championships. This will be her first appearance on the national stage.
Senior
Joe Wong (Brighton, Mass.) qualified in the 800-meter run and is seeded 15th with a time of 1:52.84. Wong set that mark last weekend at the Tufts Final Qualifier when he placed second in the event. This will be his first appearance on the national stage.
DeFosse will compete will in the prelims of the 60-meter hurdles on Friday at 1:45 pm, Wong will compete in the prelims of the 800-meter run on Friday at 3:45 pm and Paul will compete in the triple jump at 11:00 am on Saturday. The 60-meter hurdles final is slated for 3:10 pm on Saturday, while the 800-meter run final is slated for 4:50 pm on Saturday.
