Ithaca, NY – March 2, 2025 – The Springfield College women's gymnastics team wrapped up its regular season with a dual meet loss at Ithaca College on Sunday afternoon as the Bombers topped the Pride 189.925-183.750.
Stacy Taylor (Biddeford, Maine) highlighted today's meet with a first place finish on the vault with a score of 9.600.
Sage Kaplan (Auburn, Mass.), who competed in the all around competition netting a score of 37.550, paced Springfield on the balance beam (second place – 9.750) and the floor exercise (sixth – 9.500).
Elsie Gardiner (Tucson, Ariz.) and Taylor both tied for sixth alongside Kaplan on the floor with a mark of 9.500.
Ayako Maeda (Tokyo, Japan) recorded Springfield's best finish on the uneven bars with a fourth place score of 9.175 ahead of Kaplan's sixth place score of 8.925.
On the beam behind Kaplan, was
Reagan Charlton (Bentonville, Ark.) and
Ava Kelley (Mashpee, Mass.),who tied for fifth with a score of 9.600.
Springfield will head to Brockport for the NCGA Regional Championships next weekend.
