Four From Women's Tennis Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team

Springfield, Mass. – June 26, 2025 – The Springfield College women's tennis program had four student-athletes honored for their academic and athletic excellence by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) as they were all named to the 2025 CSC Academic All-District Women's Tennis Team.

The quartet of Alysa Elliott (Gros-Islet, Saint Lucia)Ramida Manataweewat (Bangkok, Thailand)Natalia Peyon (Hong Kong) and Kapom Vettayawaikoon (Phuket, Thailand) garnered the regional academic honor, which was selected by College Sports Communicators and recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Elliott, a computer science major with a 3.91 grade point average, registered ten wins in doubles action and seven wins in singles during her junior campaign. She also won three singles matches and four doubles matches during New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contests this year.

Manataweewat, an accounting and psychology major with a 3.87 grade point average, posted nine wins in doubles play and seven victories in singles action during her senior season. She also won four times in doubles and twice in singles play during NEWMAC matches this year.

Peyon, a finance major with a 3.89 grade point average, won six times in both singles and doubles this year which also featured three wins in singles and two in doubles during conference matchups in 2025.

Vettawaywaikoon, a finance and health care management major with a 3.98 grade point average, was consistent throughout the 2024-25 year winning nine times in both singles and doubles, while also posting four wins in singles and doubles in NEWMAC matches during her sophomore campaign.

As a team, Springfield went 9-8 overall and 4-4 in NEWMAC play, while also securing the fifth seed in the conference tournament under the direction of head coach Tanner DeVarennes.
