Springfield, Mass. – July 31, 2025 – The Springfield College women's lacrosse program has earned the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad Award for the tenth consecutive season.
The IWLCA has named 376 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2024-25 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.20 or higher team GPA for the academic year. Springfield was one of ten programs from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) to earn the academic award.
Individually, the IWLCA honored 1,289 student-athletes from 203 different institutions on the 2025 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. With 12 individual selections, the Pride tied for seventh in Division III and first among all NEWMAC institutions this year.

Springfield capped its 2025 season with an overall record of 14-4 and a mark of 8-2 in NEWMAC play. Under the direction of head coach Jenn Thomas, the Pride once again made an appearance in the conference tournament semifinals.
