Springfield, Mass. - January 16, 2026 - The Springfield College women's lacrosse program along with head coach Jennifer Thomas '14 releases the 2026 schedule which is set to begin at home against Skidmore on February 25.
FULL SCHEDULE
The Pride will play a 16-game schedule which includes ten from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) and six non-conference matchups. Six of the Pride's opponents made appearances in the 2025 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament including Amherst, Babson, Endicott, MIT, Stevens, and Trinity (Conn.). In the final United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) rankings, Amherst finished No. 15 and Stevens finished No. 17 while Babson and Endicott received votes.
A season ago, the Pride earned the third seed in the NEWMAC Tournament, making an appearance in the semifinal round. Six student-athletes were named to NEWMAC All-Conference teams while two were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region Second Team including senior Lily Johnson (Oceanside, N.Y.).
Springfield opens up the season with a home game against Skidmore on February 25 before hosting Western New England on March 4. The Pride will then be on the road for four-straight games traveling to Endicott on March 7, Trinity on the 11th, Wheaton (Mass.) on the 14th and will also travel to Clearwater, Fla. to play Farmingdale State on the 18th.
The Pride are back home on March 21 as they host MIT before heading to Amherst on the 25th. Springfield will stay on the road for two more games, going to Coast Guard on March 28 and then opening up the month of April at Mount Holyoke on the 1st.
Springfield will host Babson on April 4 and Smith on April 8 before going to Salve Regina on the 11th and Emerson on the 15th. The Pride will close out the season with home games against Wellesley on April 18 and Clark on April 22 before the NEWMAC Tournament kicks off.
The NEWMAC Tournament is set to start on April 25 and a champion will be crowned on May 2. The higher seeded team will be named the host in each round and the winner of the NEWMAC title will earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament.
