Springfield, Mass. – February 16, 2026 – The Springfield College women's lacrosse team will open its 2026 schedule ranked 19th nationally in the USA Lacrosse Magazine's Division III Preseason Poll.

Led by head coach Jenn Thomas, who enters her fourth season at the helm of the Pride – Springfield will open its 2026 campaign next week at home against Skidmore College on Stagg Field at 4:00 pm.

Springfield returns USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-Americans Izzy Lalancette (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and Lily Johnson (Oceanside, N.Y.) to the team this season and the Pride will add six first-years to the squad in 2026. A season ago, Springfield went 14-4 overall, 8-2 in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play and reached the conference semifinals.

This season, Springfield will face six teams which made it to the 2025 NCAA Division III Championship Tournament and take on four teams which currently appear in the USA Lacrosse Magazine top-20 including Amherst (12), MIT (14), Babson (16) and Trinity CT (RV).
