Bridget Rossignol '22 — Raising the Bar Through Service, Sport, and Leadership

Springfield, Mass. – February 26, 2026 - For Bridget Rossignol '22, growth is never optional, it's a mindset. Whether she's developing athletes, training clients, or serving her country, she is driven by one simple belief: when you reach the bar, raise it.

Today, Rossignol serves as Manager of Player Development for USA Lacrosse, while also working as a trainer with CrossFit and serving in the Maine Air National Guard as a Public Affairs Specialist. Her career reflects a commitment to challenge, service, and continuous improvement, values she credits directly to her time at Springfield College.

A dual-degree graduate in Physical Education and Athletic Leadership with a concentration in Advanced Level Coaching, Rossignol immersed herself fully in the Springfield College experience. She competed on the women's lacrosse team for four years, served as a graduate assistant coach, and taught undergraduate courses in the Physical Education department as a graduate teaching fellow. Those academic and athletic experiences laid the groundwork for the work she does today, developing curriculum, coaching with intention, and supporting athletes in age-appropriate and meaningful ways.

Rossignol describes herself as someone constantly searching for the next challenge. Whether it's preparing for a demanding fitness competition, completing a longer ruck than ever before, or stepping into military service after her collegiate career, she embraces opportunities to push beyond what she thought possible. Professionally, she's motivated by gratitude, a desire to honor the mentors, colleagues, and supporters who helped open doors along her journey by doing exceptional work and paying that support forward.

She is certain her path would not exist without Springfield. It was the only college she truly wanted to attend, and the place where professors and coaches challenged her, expanded her vision of what was possible, and helped shape her into what she proudly calls a "true Springfield College kid." The lessons she gained as both an athlete and coach, along with the educational foundation of her program, continue to guide her daily work in athlete development.

Her advice to current students reflects her own journey: never overlook the value of small opportunities. Side jobs, volunteer work, and unexpected experiences can become the very connections that open doors later. What seems random now may become the defining step toward a dream career.

Among her favorite Springfield memories, two moments stand out. She began and ended her collegiate career winning conference championships in the NEWMAC, but the most meaningful chapter came at the end. After her senior-year championship, the team earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and competed in Maine, her home state. Surrounded by family who were finally able to see her compete in person, the moment brought her career full circle in a way she will never forget.

From the classroom to the field, from fitness training to military service, Bridget Rossignol continues to embody the spirit of challenge, gratitude, and purpose, always striving for what comes next.
