Springfield, Mass. – May 22, 2025 – For the second consecutive season, Springfield College graduate student
Hannah Hibbert (Center Harbor, N.H.) and junior
Lily Johnson (Oceanside, N.Y.) were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region Second Team.
A total of 256 student-athletes from across the country were recognized and Hibbert and Johnson were among the 16 student-athletes who comprised the All-Berkshire Region Second Team. The Springfield duo were two of ten selections from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) this spring.
Earlier this spring, both Johnson and Hibbert garnered NEWMAC All-Conference First Team accolades. Johnson led Springfield with 44 goals and 62 points to go along with 18 assists, which ranked second most on the team. The junior also scooped up 19 ground balls and caused 16 turnovers in 18 games this year, while Hibbert led Springfield with 22 caused turnovers and ranked third in both draw controls with 40 and ground balls with 25 as she played in 17 games for the Pride in 2025.
Springfield capped its season with 14 wins and reached the NEWMAC semifinal round. The 12-1 start to the campaign was the best in program history and began the year with a 15-0 shutout of Western New England, its first clean sheet since 2022.
