Attleboro, Mass. – August 30, 2025 – The Springfield College women's cross country team began its 2025 campaign with a seventh place finish at the Suffolk Short Course Classic on Saturday morning.
In a field that consisted of a majority of the program's from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) as well as a handful of Division I programs, the Pride produced 253 points and were paced by
Kristina Kyle (Watertown, Conn.), who ran the three kilometer course in 11:44.71 crossing the line in 30th overall.
Kami Wlodyka (Three Rivers, Mass.) produced a time of 12:11.65 for 43rd,
Sara St. Germain (Somers, Conn.) clocked a time of 12:32.03 for 59th place,
Kayleigh Jensen (Salem, Conn.) notched a time of 12:59.44 for 89th place and
Meghan Sullivan (Easthampton, Mass.) crossed the line in 13:05.66 for 95th place to round out Springfield's top five finishers.
Just outside of the top five for the Pride were
Lauren Roche (Corning, N.Y.) in 13:06.13,
Hannah McCarthy (Beverly, Mass.) in 13:11.95,
Leah Castle (Ashford, Conn.) in 13:16.95,
Elisa Narain (Holden, Mass.) in 13:21.96,
Taylor Desmarais (Berlin, Conn.) in 14:05.68 and
Brooke Ferrare (Waterbury, Conn.) in 15:57.14.
Springfield will return to action on Saturday, September 20 at the Wesleyan University Cardinal Invitational at the Wes Furhman '05 Trails Cross Country Course.
