Marlborough, Mass. - January 12, 2026 - For the fourth time this season, Springfield College men's swimming and diving junior Christian Butler (North Haven, Conn.) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Diver of the Week.

Butler swept both boards in a double dual meet with Union and Hartwick on Saturday. Butler broke the pool record on the 3-meter board – a mark that had stood since 1998 – with his score of 306.70 and also notched a 295.80 on the 1-meter board. Both scores were once again above the NCAA regional qualifying mark.

Springfield will host to Middlebury on Saturday, January 17 for a dual meet at 12:00 pm.
