Northampton, Mass. - January 24, 2026 - The Springfield College women's swimming and diving team was defeated by both Smith and Wellesley in a tri-meet on Saturday afternoon as the Pride fell to the Bears, 227-69, and the Blue, 213-83.

Ally Burnett (Rochester, N.Y.) took third place in both the 1000-free and 500-free touching the wall in 11:35.42 and 5:42.36, respectively. Kylie Nordenstrom (Blaine, Minn.) was close behind in the 500-free finishing fourth with a time of 5:43.17. 

Lizzy McMahon (Rensselaer, N.Y.) came in fifth place in the 100-back touching at 1:03.41 and Natalie Norbut (Bristol, Conn.) finished fifth in the 100-breast with a time of 1:16.43. Erica Kerner (Cherry Hill, N.J.) clocked 2:29.14 for a fifth place finish in the 200-fly and Emma Savoie (Milford, Conn.) came in fifth in the 100-free with a time of 1:00.25. 

Both of Springfield's relays came in fifth as the 200-medley relay team of McMahon, Norbut, Savoie and Katherine Wade (Sturbridge, Mass.) combined for a time of 2:01.14 while the 200-free relay team of Wade, Nordenstrom, Burnett, and Paige Levine (Holtsville, N.Y.) finished in 1:54.59. 

Bridgette Hogan (Marshfield, Mass.) finished second on the 3-meter board with a score of 233.85 while Elizabeth Santos (Chicopee, Mass.) came in third with a score of 228.70. McKenzie Aparo (Bristol, Conn.) came in third on the 1-meter board with a score of 244.85 while Hogan came in fourth with a score of 240.75. 

Springfield will host Babson on Saturday, February 7 for its final meet before the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships.
