Springfield, Mass. - February 3, 2026 - The Springfield College men's tennis program and head coach Tanner DeVarennes '17 G'19 have released the 2026 schedule with the opener set for February 28 at Williams.
FULL SCHEDULE
The Pride will play in 14 matches which includes seven New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contests and seven matches against out of conference opponents. Springfield will face Babson and Farmingdale State who made the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships.
A season ago, Springfield had a historic season as it tied the program record for the most wins, finishing 13-4 through both the fall and spring seasons. The team won nine matches and made an appearance in the NEWMAC Tournament in the spring and this past fall, the Pride won all three of their dual matches.
The Pride opens up the spring season on February 28 at Williams before traveling to Trinity (Conn.) on March 1. Springfield will then travel down to Florida to play four dual matches against Bethel (Minn.) on March 16, St. Norbert on the 17th, Hobart on the 18th and Hamilton on the 19th.
When Springfield returns, the team will head to Wheaton (Mass.) on March 28 before hosting Clark on April 4 for the first home match of the season. The Pride will then play host to Coast Guard on April 7 and Farmingdale State on the 9th. Springfield will take a trip to Emerson on the April 11 and then host Salve Regina on April 12.
Springfield will close out the regular season hosting MIT on April 15th and then heading to Babson on the 18th before the start of the NEWMAC Tournament.
The NEWMAC Tournament is set to start on April 28 and a champion will be crowned on May 3. The higher seeded team will be named the host in each round and the winner of the NEWMAC title will earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Tournament.
