Marlborough, Mass. - May 4, 2026 - Springfield College junior Jack Richburg (Hinesburg, Vt.) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Pitcher of the Week to close out the regular season. 

Richburg pitched seven shutout frames and struck out eight in a 2-1 win over Babson College over the final week of the season. Richburg's performance helped the Pride beat the Beavers for the fourth straight year and clinch a spot in the NEWMAC Tournament for the first time for Springfield since 2023.

The Pride will face off against MIT in a win or go home game on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30pm. The game will be played at Springfield with MIT as the home team on the scoreboard.
