Marlborough, Mass. - May 6, 2026 - For the first time in her career, Springfield College junior Kapom Vettayawaikoon (Phuket, Thailand) has been named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference Second Team in singles play.Â

This season, Vettayawaikoon posted six wins overall and held a conference record of 4-3 with her three losses coming from nationally-ranked No. 6 Babson, No. 8 MIT and No. 30 Wellesley at No. 1 singles. Vettayawaikoon and the Pride finished the season as the No. 5 seed in the NEWMAC Tournament with an overall record of 9-8 while putting together four wins against conference opponents.Â
