Men's Swimming and Diving Drops Final Dual Meet of Season to Amherst, 164-121

Springfield, Mass. – February 3, 2013 – In its final dual meet of the season, the Springfield College men’s swimming and diving team dropped a 164-121 decision to Amherst College on Sunday.

Kenny Pancoast had a strong showing on the diving boards, breaking the 300-point barrier twice. He won the one-meter with a national-qualifying score of 309.45, while taking third on the three-meter with a 325.35.

The Pride’s 200 medley relay team of Travis Morse, Michael Normoyle, Nolan Manley, and Jason Scotto took second in 1:38.34.

Scott Peters was the runner-up in the 50 free with a 22.90, while in the 100 free John Vatkevich was second after touching in 1:03.15.

In the 100 back, Morse placed second in 54.67. Manley also placed third in the 100 fly in 55.30, and Scotto took third with a 5:03.18.
