Springfield, Mass. – December 23, 2024 – For the second consecutive season, Springfield College junior
David Girouard (Chicopee, Mass.) has been named to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Golf All-Sportsmanship Team.
The MASCAC Sportsmanship Team is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport that best demonstrates the values of the MASCAC and its Sportsmanship Statement, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season.
"I want to commend the 60 student-athletes from across the conference who were recognized on the 2024 MASCAC Fall Sportsmanship Team", Commissioner Angela Baumann said. "These student-athletes have showcased outstanding sportsmanship, which is a fundamental principle of the MASCAC. We are proud to acknowledge these individuals for embodying these commendable traits."
Girouard was joined on the Men's Golf All-Sportsmanship Team this fall by Sean Mantua of Marymount, Ben Galko of Marywood, Mathew Gover of MCLA, Colin Richmond of Salem State, Tom Onorato of Westfield State and Jack Ryan of Worcester State.
Springfield finished third as a team at the 2024 MASCAC Championships as the Pride were paced by Rookie of the Year
Matthew Kumpulanian (Wilbraham, Mass.) and
Amir Ardolino (Wilbraham, Mass.), who tied for sixth over the two day championship.
