Springfield, Mass. - February 8, 2024 - All-region honors for the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season were announced last week by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the indoor campaign. The Springfield College men's and women's track and field programs had 11 student-athletes honored for their efforts.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams.
Springfield's honorees on the men's track and field team featured seven honorees. On the track,
Mike Anderson (Cromwell, Conn.) was honored in the 60 meter hurdles,
Joe Wong (Salem, Mass.) picked up recognition in the 800 meters,
Dante Lingley (Westbrook, Maine),
Evan Weber (Purchase, N.Y.) and
Michael Scott (Shoreview, Minn.) all picked up regional honors in the 60 meters, while Lingley and Weber were also honored for the 200 meters. Additionally,
Daniel Hyde (Monroe, Conn.) and
Jamil Manu (Manchester, Conn.) were both honored with All-Region accolades in the high jump.
Springfield also had four student-athletes from the women's track and field team recognized, as
Stephanie Brown (Stafford Springs, Conn.) was honored for the 60 meters and
Katherine DeFosse (Worcester, Mass.) earned all-region honors in the 60 meter hurdles. Along with those two student-athletes,
Samantha Paul (Albany, N.Y.) picked up honors for the triple jump while
Katelynn Taylor (Franklin, Mass.) was an all-region performer for the weight throw.
Springfield will open the outdoor season on March 30 at the Corsair Classic on the campus of UMass Dartmouth.
