Springfield, Mass. – April 25, 2025 – Springfield College graduate student Jackson Lane (Shrewsbury, Mass.) was named as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week for his efforts against Wesleyan University and Salve Regina University.

Lane was dominant on defense this week for the Pride in a crucial 10-8 NEWMAC win over Salve Regina and in a setback against seventh-ranked Wesleyan University. Lane totaled five ground balls and two caused turnovers at Salve Regina to keep Springfield atop the NEWMAC standings at 6-0 after scooping up three ground balls against the nationally-ranked Cardinals on Wednesday evening.

Springfield will wrap up the regular season with a road contest on Saturday at Wheaton College.
