Springfield, Mass. – April 25, 2025 – Springfield College junior Lily McCauliffe (Greenwich, Conn.) was named as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week for her efforts against Amherst and Coast Guard.

McCauliffe had a historic week in the circle for the Pride as she tossed an eight-inning no-hitter in a 1-0 victory over Amherst on Wednesday and then followed it up with a two hit, five inning shutout win at Coast Guard on Saturday. McCauliffe's no hitter was just the sixth for Springfield since 2012 and first since 2023. In total, the junior struck out ten batters between the two games, lowered her ERA to a NEWMAC best 0.43 and improved to 5-0 in the circle this season.

Springfield will host Wheaton College at 3:00 pm this afternoon for a NEWMAC doubleheader on Potter Field.
