Middletown, Conn. - September 20, 2025 - The Springfield College men's cross country team finished tenth at the Wesleyan Cardinal Invitational on Saturday morning.
In a meet that featured some of the top programs around New England, the Pride produced 276 points and were paced by
Harry Yablon (Bellport, N.Y.), who ran the 8000-meter course in 27:19.39 crossing the line in 82nd overall. The competition included MIT, WPI, and Keene State who are ranked No. 2, No. 3, and No. 8, respectively, in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) East Region along with Division I New Haven.
Andrew Petropulos (Williamstown, Mass.) finished with a time of 27:26.89 for 87th,
Gabe Schaeffer (Selinsgrove, Pa.) clocked 27:43.89 for 96th, and
Jeremiah Singer (Barnstable, Mass.) crossed the line in 27:50.26 for 98th to round out the Springfield runners who finished within the top one hundred.
Also competing for the Pride were
Ty Sanges (Gloversville, N.Y.) who finished at 28:25.78,
Jacob Merenda (Madison, Conn.) in 28:29.82,
Slade Harding (Malden, Mass.) in 28:41.57,
Ayden Collura (Rocky Hill, Conn.) in 29:39.26, and
Matthew Lara (Haddam, Conn.) in 30:42.88.
The Pride will return to action on October 4 for the Keene State Invitational at the Owl Athletic Complex.
