New Orleans, La. - February 16, 2026 - The Springfield College men's and women's cross country teams were honored with United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Academic Awards for their hard work in the classroom this year.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
Under head coach Anna Steinman, the Springfield men's team posted a mark of 3.73 which is the top grade point average in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) while Springfield's women's squad produced the second highest grade point average in the NEWMAC with a 3.78, only behind MIT who registered a 3.80.Â
