Boston, Mass. - February 13, 2026 - The Springfield College men's track and field team had a strong showing in BU's David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday afternoon against some of the top competition across all three divisions.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Seth Twarog (Hubbardston, Mass.), Joshua Goffe (Senoia, Ga.), Parker Ruger (Rhinebeck, N.Y.) and Colin Hansen (Ipswich, Mass.) combined for a program record time of 3:13.85 which was good for an eighth place finish. Their time currently sits as the third fastest time in Division III and is just outside of the top ten in NCAA Division III indoor track and field history.
Goffe also tied the program record in the 200-meter dash invite, clocking 21.58 for ninth place which currently ranks fourteenth in Division III. Luca Kabel (Merrimack, N.H.) came in ninth in the 200-meter dash open at 21.97.
Hansen clocked a 48.66 in the 400-meter dash invite as Twarog finished with a time of 49.06 in the 400-meter dash open, finishing within the top 20 in a pool of over 100 competitors. Shane Erb (Marion, Iowa) ran the one mile run and finished with a time of 4:27.09.
The Pride will head to Medford, Mass. for the Tufts Cupid Challenge on Saturday.
