Cambridge, Mass. – February 13, 2026 – Springfield College junior
Katherine DeFosse (Worcester, Mass.) competed at the Harvard Crimson Open this afternoon and broke her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles against some elite competition.
DeFosse broke her own record by running an 8.68 in prelims and then followed it up with an 8.76 for seven in finals. DeFosse ran against three student-athletes from Princeton and one from Harvard in the event finals. Her time of 8.68 broke her own mark of 8.70 and now she ranks fifth in Division III this season. Also in her finals heat was Aryianna Garceau of UMass Boston, who ran an 8.37, which is the top time in the nation this year as those two will likely meet at the national championship next month.
Springfield will travel to Tufts University tomorrow for the Cupid Challenge in Medford.
