Williamstown, Mass. – May 10, 2026 – The Springfield College women's track and field team competed at the Williams College FIRE Meet over the weekend.
Springfield's best placement on the track came from the 4x100-meter relay as
Katherine DeFosse (Worcester, Mass.),
Ella Couchon (Windsor Locks, Conn.),
Madison Mulas (Wilmington, Mass.) and
Sydney Meeks (Wynantskill, N.Y.) placed sixth in 49.08. Couchon went to clock a time of 12.79 in the 100-meter dash and Mulas went on to run a 28.31 in the 200-meter dash.
Kristina Kyle (Watertown, Conn.) ran a 2:23.78 for 24th in the 800-meter run,
Rebecca Cahill (Ashford, Conn.) clocked a 17.18 for 18th in the 100-meter dash and
Peyton Knott (Leicester, Mass.) ran a 1:01.64 for 20th in the 400-meter dash and
Mackenzie DiDonato (Thomaston, Conn.) ran a 1:11.26 for 14th in the 400-meter hurdles.
In the field events,
Charlotte Gerow (Tolland, Conn.) led the Pride in the discus with a throw of 34.3-meters for 16th place.
Bailey McDevitt (Wakefield, Mass.) also placed 16th in the javelin with a throw of 30.39-meters.
Emma Barnes (Saco, Maine) placed 20th in the javelin (22.92-meters) and 23rd in the hammer (28.64-meters) to round out the highlights.
Springfield will head to Ursinus for the AARTFC Championships next week to look for final qualification marks for nationals.
