Collegeville, Pa. – May 14, 2026 – The Springfield College women's track and field team wrapped up the regular season at both the AARTFC Outdoor Championships and the MIT Final Qualifier on Thursday in hopes of punching some tickets to nationals.
At the AARTFC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Ursinus College, Springfield sent nine student-athletes to compete.
Katherine DeFosse (Worcester, Mass.) won the 100-meter hurdles in 14.00 and placed seventh in the 100-meter dash in 12.37.
Sydney Meeks (Wynantskill, N.Y.) recorded a 14th place finish in the 400-meter dash in 57.84, while
Peyton Knott (Leicester, Mass.) recorded a time of 2:20.27 for 22nd in the 800-meter run and
Ella Couchon (Windsor Locks, Conn.) finished 36th in the 100-meter dash in 12.77.
In the field events,
Grace Flattery (Swansea, Mass.) posted a leap of 11.27-meters for 11th in the triple jump and cleared 1.55-meters for 13th in the high jump.
Autumn Bacik (Watertown, Conn.) cleared 1.45-meters in the high jump as well.
Emma Barnes (Saco, Maine) recorded a mark of 38.88-meters for 13th in the discus and was followed in 24th by
Charlotte Gerow (Tolland, Conn.), who registered a throw of 34.24-meters.
Hannah Debian (West Springfield, Mass.) posted a throw of 11.66-meters for 17th in the shot put.
At MIT,
Kristina Kyle (Watertown, Conn.) ran a 4:48.83 for ninth in the 1,500-meter run.
NCAA selections will be released tomorrow morning. DeFosse currently ranks seventh nationally in the 100-meter hurdles.
