Springfield, Mass. – February 22, 2026 – The Springfield College women's track and field team won a trio of events at Saturday's Triangle Classic held inside the Springfield College Field House alongside some of the top teams in the region.
Sydney Meeks (Wynantskill, N.Y.) produced two of the three wins for the Pride as she crossed the line first in both the 200-meter dash in 26.35 and the 400-meter dash in 58.45. The other winning time came from
Taylor Desmarais (Berlin, Conn.) with a time of 5:10.12 in the mile.
Katherine DeFosse (Worcester, Mass.) posted a second place finish in the 60-meter dash in 7.74,
Kristina Kyle (Watertown, Conn.) came in second in the 800-meter run in 2:22.51 and
Peyton Knott (Leicester, Mass.) took third in the 600-meter run in 1:40.34. Rounding out the highlights on the track was fourth place finishes in the 1000-meter run by
Kami Wlodyka (Three Rivers, Mass.) in 3:09.13 and the mile by
Brooke Ferrare (Waterbury, Conn.) in 5:40.00.
Grace Flattery (Swansea, Mass.) paced Springfield in the field events posting a second place finish in the high jump clearing 1.63-meters and the triple jump with a mark of 10.59-meters. Behind Flattery in the high jump was
Aubrey Hughes (Liberty Hill, Texas) in fourth clearing 1.53-meters.
Emma Barnes (Saco, Maine) recorded a third place finish in the shot put with a throw of 11.92-meters and was followed in fifth by
Charlotte Gerow (Tolland, Conn.) with a throw of 11.19-meters.
Madilynn Van Etten (Cumberland, R.I.) posted a fifth place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 13.70-meters to wrap up the meet.
Springfield will head east for the New England D3 Indoor Track and Field Championships beginning on Friday at Tufts.
