Springfield, Mass. – February 27, 2026 – Ahead of the 2026 NCAA Regional Championship, the Springfield College wrestling program appeared in both the team rankings and individual rankings – regionally and nationally from the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) and the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA).
As a team, Springfield sits first regionally in the dual meet rankings and third in the team tournament, while nationally Springfield is ranked tenth in the dual meet rankings and 12th in the team tournament rankings.
Individually, Springfield has two student-athletes in
Jacob Deguire (Schenectady, N.Y.) and
Myles Leonard (Waldwick, N.J.) at 174 and 184, respectfully, ranked third in the country in their weight classes. They also are both first in the regionally. In the NEWA regional rankings behind Leonard and Deguire is
Nick Rogers (Watertown, N.Y.) – second at 197,
Ben Katz (Medford, N.Y.) – third at 285,
Jack Callahan (Tewksbury, Mass.) – fourth at 125,
Esuar Ordonez (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) – fourth at 133,
Isaac Quiles (East Hartford, Conn.) – sixth at 141 and
Gabriel Thomasson (Norton, Mass.) – seventh at 165.
The full regional bracket and seeds will be released by the regional committee ahead of the start of tomorrow's regional championships. The top three finishers at each weight class will automatically qualify for the 2026 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships in March.
