New York, N.Y. – March 7, 2026 – The Springfield College men's track and field team finished 17th overall at the AARTFC Indoor Championships at the Armory on Saturday afternoon.
On the track,
Mike Anderson (Cromwell, Conn.) had the best finish for the Pride as he took third in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.25
. Colin Hansen (Ipswich, Mass.) posted a fifth place finish in the 400-meter dash in 48.35 and
Luca Kabel (Merrimack, N.H.) produced an 18th place finish in the 200-meter dash in 22.57.
Shane Erb (Marion, Iowa) ran the 5,000-meters and clocked a time of 15:06.26 for ninth overall in his final indoor meet of the season.
IN the field events,
Daniel McGlashan (Haverhill, Mass.) cracked the top-40 nationally as he finished fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 14.32-meters. He was closely followed by
Mitchell Krasco (Orange, Mass.), who leapt 13.95-meters for ninth.
Martin Nyagilo (Randolph, Mass.) notched a 14th place finish in the shot put with a throw of 14.37-meters,
Alex McKenney (Ossining, N.Y.) cleared 4.33-meters for 18th in the pole vault and
Charles Botelho (Middleboro, Mass.) posted a toss of 15.08-meters for 24th in the weight throw.
Springfield will now await for the NCAA to release its qualifiers for the 2026 Division III Indoor National Championships, which will take place next weekend in Alabama. Selections will be finalized tomorrow after last chance meets are complete.
