Marlborough, Mass. - April 14, 2026 - Springfield College men's lacrosse sophomore Dominic Savastano (South Salem, N.Y.) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Lacrosse Face Off Specialist of the Week.

Savastano was dominant on the face off on Saturday against Wheaton winning 21-of-29 attempts including four in the fourth quarter alone allowing the Pride to maintain possession as Springfield outscored the Lyons 4-3 in the final 15 minutes of play en route to the 14-12 NEWMAC victory. The 21 face off wins for Savastano were not only a season-high, but a career-high for the sophomore midfielder.

The Pride head to Vassar for a nonconference matchup on Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
