Marlborough, Mass. - April 14, 2026 - Springfield College women's tennis first year Peyton Gaudreau (Branford, Conn.) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Tennis Singles Athlete of the Week.
Gaudreau went 3-0 for Springfield this week at No. 1 singles and lost only three games all week as two of her victories (the two in NEWMAC play) came as 6-0, 6-0 decisions. Gaudreau began her week with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Maddie Rossetti of Saint Joseph's Connecticut before shutting out both Teah Login of Emerson and Kaydin Pinto of Salve Regina. Gaudreau was also a perfect 3-0 in doubles play this week for the Pride.
Springfield heads to Smith today at 4:00 pm for a NEWMAC matchup.
