Springfield, Mass. – July 21, 2026 – The Springfield College field hockey team and head coach
Mia Olsen has officially announced the program's 2026 schedule which is slated to get underway on September 2 at the University of Hartford in Hartford, Connecticut.
FULL SCHEDULE
The Pride will play an 18-game schedule that includes nine New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contests and nine non-conference games against teams from across the New England region. Three of Springfield's opponents reached the NCAA Tournament last fall including Babson, WPI and Amherst College with them ending the 2025 season ranked third, 22nd and 25th, respectively.
Springfield will open the 2026 slate with four straight road games starting on September 2 at Hartford and continuing through September 12 with contests at St. Joseph's (Maine), Amherst and Western Connecticut. The Pride will play its first home game of the year on September 16 against Trinity (Conn.) before opening NEWMAC play on September 19 against Salve Regina. Before September is over, Springfield will play Western New England (September 23), WPI (September 26) and Husson (September 30).
October will begin with a trip to MIT and the month will feature seven conference contest with Eastern Connecticut on October 14 and Dean on October 29 serving as the final non-conference tilts of the year for Springfield. The regular season will conclude on October 31 with a trip to Clark University in Worcester.
The NEWMAC Tournament will begin on Tuesday, November 3 and a champion will be crowned on Saturday, November 7. The higher seeded team will be named the host in each round and the winner of the NEWMAC title will earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Tournament.
