Springfield, Mass. - November 7, 2023 - Three student-athletes from the Springfield College men's soccer team garnered All-Conference honors from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) this season.

Senior forward Chris Cruz (Greenwich, Conn.), senior midfielder Maitoe Suppasuesanguan (Bangkok, Thailand) and sophomore goalkeeper Noah Pote (Washington, Conn.) all earned spots on the NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team. All three student-athletes earned All-Conference nods for the first time in their collegiate careers.

Cruz paced the Springfield offensive unit with four goals and eight points on the season as he set new single-season career-highs in both categories, while Suppasuesanguan tallied one goal and one assist for three points in 2023. Suppasuesanguan tallied his lone goal of the year in a 4-0 win over Framingham State, while Cruz notched the game winning tallies in 2-0 wins over both Emerson College and Skidmore College.

Pote had a stellar season in net for Sprignfield as in 17 starts, the sophomore keeper tallied 66 saves, a 1.24 goals against average and a .759 save percentage over 1530 total minutes. Pote ranked third in the NEWMAC in saves and third in the league with seven shutouts.

Springfield capped its 2023 campaign with a record of 5-7-5 and reached the NEWMAC Tournament for the first time since 2021. The Pride earned the sixth seed in the playoffs after a thrilling 2-1 senior day win over Salve Regina University on October 28.
