- A member of the men's gymnastics program where he was a team captain, MVP, New England Collegiate and AAU still rings champion
- President of Gymnastics Association of Puerto Rico & coached their first Olympic team in 1960
- Started teaching at Port Jefferson High School, New York and coaching gymnastics where he remained for 10 years
- At PJHS, his teams won eight league titles, three county titles, and produced 12 state champions
- 1963 Teacher of the Year, 1966 State Coach of the Year in New York
- Started a US Gymnastics Training Center Summer Camp in 1972 to increase gymnastics participation with high caliber coaches
- Within 2 years, over 400 gymnasts were attending each week with a staff of 75 coaches both domestically and from Russia, Romania, China, France, Netherlands, Germany, and Hungary
- Owner of the non-profit Eastern School of Gymnastics in Deland, FL for 20 years, producing 50 female state champions
- In 1980, began a 15-year endeavor to provide free clinic and instruction policy, designed to help coaches raise funds for their school or club in the New England region
- In 1996 began competing in the Senior Games. Nationally ranked, he has won over 300 medals, trophies and citations in tennis, long-distance running, track & field, bowling, and dance
