- One of the most versatile and successful swimmers in Springfield College history.

- Two-time NCAA Division II individual champion in the 200 butterfly in an era dominated by West Coast swimmers.

- Recorded seven top-5 finishes overall.

- 12-time All-American in six different events: 200 butterfly (1975, '76, '77, '78). 400 individual medley ('75, '76), 100 backstroke ('75), 500 freestyle ('77, '78), 400 medley relay ('75, '78) and 800 freestyle relay (10th). 

- Still holds two individual school records (1000 and 1650 freestyle) that have stood for over three decades.

- Held the school record in the 500 freestyle for 26 years (broken in 2003 by .24 seconds). Also set records in the 400-yard individual medley (in 1975) and the 800 freestyle relay (in '76). Both of which have been broken.

- Led SC to back-to-back top-5 team finishes at the NCAA Championships (1975 and 1976).

- As a freshmen in 1975, he captures the NCAA Division II national championship in the 200 butterfly (1:55.95). Also earned All-American honors by placing forth in the 100-yard backstroke and fifth in the 400 individual medley at the '75 NCAA Championships.

- As a senior co-captain in 1978, he won his second Division II national title in the 200 butterfly (1:55.55). Also 5th in the 500 freestyle, 10th in the 800 free relay and 11th in the 400 medley relay.
