- Highly respected coach, judge, and administrator in gymnastics at the high school, college, and national levels.
- Letter-winner on Springfield College gymnastics team from 1950 to 1954. Â Also served as an assistant gymnastics coach at SC.
- As head men's gymnastics coach, he took UMass from a regional team to membership in the Eastern Intercollegiate Gymnastics League.
- In 1972, UMass was 2nd in the EIGL and third overall in the east.Â
- Coached a female gymnast at the National AAU Gymnastic Championships and Olympic Trials in 1964 and at the National AAU Championships in 1965.
