- An honorable mention All-American and All-New England (all divisions) two-way football player.

- An All-New England selection (all divisions) as strong safety in '65 and an All-New England (all divisions) at running back in '68. Also was a record-setting place-kicker.

- Set seven school offensive records despite playing only two years on offense (16 games) after moving over from safety on defense. 

- Still holds the record for the most points in a game (36 points vs. Tufts in '68, tied with another player), which is the third-oldest football record at SC.

- Set the record for the most points in a season (110 points in 1968) which stood for 31 years. He broke the previous record by 44 points.

- Also held school records for rushing yards in a game (206), touchdowns in a season (12), longest run from scrimmage (87 yards), and consecutive extra points (16).

- Starter on defense as a sophomore on the undefeated 1965 team.

- As a senior in '68, he was an Associated Press honorable-mention Little All-American, All-East selection and team MVP.

- Played in the National Football League and the Canadian Football League.
