- One of the top gymnasts in Springfield College history
- Assisted Springfield to a 5th place team-finish at the 1965 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships
- Won the pommel horse in the 1965 NCAA Championships
- The following year, he earned the EIGL Championship in the pommel horse
- Became a P.E Instructor and Coach for the Elwood School District on Long Island in the fall of 1966, until retiring in 1997
- Served for many years as a coach for several teams on Long Island, including gymnastics, track, soccer, and volleyball in high school and middle school
- Chosen the Suffolk County Boys Gymnastics Coach of the Year in 1974
- Also became a New York State Gymnastics Official, and later an official on the national and international stage
- In 1984, he received the National Gymnastics Judges Association Eastern Regional Award
- Inducted into the Eastern Gymnastics Judges Hall of Fame
- Judged Olympic and World Game trials, as well as the Goodwill Games in 1990
