  • A pioneer in women’s athletics who helped start the women’s track & field program at Springfield College in 1977

  • One of the first All-America honorees in Springfield College women’s track & field history, taking third in the mile in 1978 AIAW Track & Field Championships

  • Established Springfield College program records in the mile, 1500, 3000, and two mile

  • Represented the United States in the 1981 Sports Festival for the East Team, racing the marathon in 3:19.

  • The Bermuda National Track & Field All-Comers record holder in 1500 in 1977

  • Established the Vermilion Road Warriors Running Club in 1988

  • Since 2001, has been a teacher in the Lorain City Schools in Ohio, teaching physical education, science, elementary education, and Success For All reading program
