Springfield College

- A four-year member and a captain of Springfield's men's gymnastics team 

- Coached state championship YMCA teams in Connecticut and New Jersey

- Initiated high school gymnastics in Vermont as he directed the first Vermont high school gymnastic competition in 1967, which led to the annual Vermont High School Gymnastic Championships

- Served as a professor and gymnastics coach at the University of Vermont for 20 years

- Received the 1968 National Association of Collegiate Gymnastic Coaches Annual Research Award

- Recognized by the U.S. Gymnastic Federation as the Father of Vermont Gymnastics

- Organized the first private gymnastic club in Vermont and the first and only overnight gymnastic camp in the state
