The all-time winningest football coach in Springfield College history

Spent 32 seasons on the sidelines as Springfield’s head football coach and owned a career record of 201-139-2 

Led Springfield to five appearances in the NCAA Championship Tournament

Thanks to his triple option offense, Springfield won seven NCAA Division III rushing titles in his tenure and finished second in the country in rushing on three occasions

Captured six ECAC Division III Championships

Received American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) District I Coach-of-the-Year Award in 2000 and 2003

Honored with the American Football Foundation’s Johnny Vaught Lifetime Achievement Award for Head Coaches in 2001

 In 2006, named the Empire 8, New England Football Writers (DII/III), AFCA (Region I) and d3football.com (East Region) Coach of the Year

During his time as Springfield’s head coach, produced 22 All Americans, four Academic All Americans, and in 2006, a Melberger Award winner which was given to the Division III National Player of the Year
