- Earned All-American status eight times in four years at Springfield
- Won the National Championship on the vault in 1975

- Four-time recipient of the Leslie J. Judd Award, given to the MVP of the gymnastics team (1974, 1975, 1976, 1977)
- As a senior, earned All-American honors in the all-around, parallel bars, rings, and vault as Springfield won the NCAA Division II Team National Championship
- In 1977, his second-place All-Around score at the NCAA Division II Championships allowed him to compete in the NCAA Division I Championships
- In 1977, the state of Rhode Island proclaimed a day "Tony Hall Day" in celebrating his four-year accomplishments in gymnastics at Springfield College
