- All-American in the 200 individual medley (1964, '65), 400 individual medley (1964, '65), 100 Backstroke (1964), 400 Medley Relay (1964, '65), 100 Backstroke (1965), 200 Backstroke (1965).

- New England Champion in the 200 Individual Medley (1965). 

- Established New England College Swimming Association records in the 200 Breaststroke, 200 Backstroke, 160 Individual Medley, and 400 Medley Relay.

- Set Springfield College records in the 200 Breaststroke, 200 Backstroke, 160 Individual Medley, 200 Individual Medley, 400 Individual Medley, and 400 Medley Relay.

- National Master's Swimming Champion, short and long courses (1972).

- Coached at Tufts University, Brown University, and the University of Alabama.

- 35 of his athletes earned All-American honors

- Brown University Men's Water Polo Team compiled a record of 420-159-5 including 17 consecutive New England Championships and 11 NCAA tournament appearances.

- Coached the United States Men's National Water Polo Team to a gold medal at the Pan-American Games (1995) and a seventh place finish at the olympic games in Atlanta (1996).
